Social Media & Content Manager

As Social Media and Content Manager, not only will you develop strategies for campaign-based social engagements and continually develop our stores' social media presences, but you will develop online marketing content for the purposes of outreach--increasing audience engagement and traffic to Affordable Style's network of stores. Though we prefer an undergraduate degree from an an accredited 4-year college, previous experience is not needed and entry level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Continually develop our presence and interact with our friends and followers on social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, etc.)
  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day social content and experience across all brand properties
  • Develop online content features (including blog posts) and other marketing content
  • Responsible for all copy and media as well as ad hoc conversational responses, resolutions and updates
  • Define target audiences and develop strategies for campaign-based social engagements
  • Moderate comments, content and conversation contributed by customers
  • Maintain publishing calendars and timelines for social content and functionality by store
  • Conduct regular research and analysis of competitive social media marketing campaigns
  • Evaluate social media technologies and platforms, and recommend direction for investment and implementation
  • Support and drive promotions and sales events within social and community spaces
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of social media channels and effective strategies to maximize engagement of online audiences
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on brand strategy
  • Responsible for all onsite social media integration, including ratings and reviews, moderation, social graph and profile enhancements and sharing functionality
  • Work closely with the marketing team on promotions and programs designed to increase traffic and revenue
  • Establish and execute the formal measurement of social media through analytics and KPIs. This includes sales, influencers, review volume, buzz, trends, Facebook insights, Twitter volume, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Personal and/or professional experience with and understanding of social media including social networks, social bookmarking, real-time web, blogs, mobile/location-based and emerging technologies
  • Strong writing and creative thinking ability
  • Strong computer skills including in-depth experience with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet
  • Knack for inspiring user passion and dialogue
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial culture
  • "Can do" positive attitude, goal-oriented and strong sense of customer empathy
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to summarize data and identify trends
  • Solid organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence peers and management in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Intermediate Excel experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in English, PR, Marketing, Communication, or related field preferred
